I am sending this note out to our new members who have joined in 2026. Thank you for joining the club and I want to make sure that you get the most out of your membership. Since January 2026, an astonishing 45% of the new members are from outside Santa Cruz county. Much of this is due to interesting fishouts and our clubs relationship with Project Healing Waters and Sisters on the Fly.
For those who live a long ways away or in the county, but can’t attend the meetings, we are streaming them on Zoom. In the picture above, there is a menu item Zoom and the first choice is a link to join us as a zoom meeting. This is a way to hear about different activities with the club and also to learn from our knowledgable speakers.
“But I can’t make Wednesday evening because of other commitments”
Fear not. Starting last year, we started recording the meetings and posting them on a “membership only” portion of the website. On the from page of the website is a button Member Portal. This allows you to login with the email and password you created when you signed up for the club. Once you log in, a new page will appear:
Click on the “Club Meeting Recordings” menu item and find a list of previous meetings. My favorite include: Entomology, Truckee River, and Pyramid Lake.
